San Luis Valley Health Access Risk Reduction Projectoffers clients who are using injection drugs the ability to prevent the spread of HIV and Hepatitis C through sterile syringes, the safe disposal of syringes in the community, free HIV and Hepatitis C testing once a month, emergency overdose response training and free naloxone for clients. They also provide access to mental health counseling, substance use treatment, primary medical care, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, and case management.
