High Plains Community Health Center has six locations that provide care for people who live in Baca, Cheyenne, Kiowa, Kit Carson, and Prowers counties. Click on the website and then click on Our Services for the full list. The main clinic is in Lamar (shown on map), and there are clinics in Wiley and Holly. Click on the website for locations and hours, including when you can walk-in without an appointment (called walk-in sick call). A High Plains doctor is ALWAYS on call. After hours, you can call 719-336-0261 and ask to speak to one of their physicians. Look on the website link for the direct numbers for the High Plains doctors. You can call for same day appointments when the phones are answered starting at 7:45am M-Sat. No appointment is necessary for an acute illness.
