You may apply for a state ID or driver’s license at a DMV office. For a complete list of all DMV offices in Colorado, click on the website link. The cost is $28 for a driver’s license and $11.50 for a state ID card, although a state ID is free if you’re 60 or older, or if you're under court supervision, ask your parole officer, re-entry specialist, jail re-entry staff, or a department of human services staff about getting your state ID for free with a letter of referral.
