When you're applying for a Colorado license or ID card, you must provide proof of your name, date of birth, identity, and whether you’re legally in the US. Sometimes one document can prove all four. For example, a CO driver’s license or state ID that’s expired less than 10 years with your picture is accepted if your Social Security number is on file.
