Discovery Café (Rifle)
Discovery Café is an organization that offers peer to peer support and access to needed services to those who are experiencing barriers stemming from addiction, homelessness or justice involvement. Helping to create a safe place so that members have a healthy form of community, assisting them in building their lives back together. They network with local resources to help their members get connected with whatever they may need, paying close attention to each individual and creating member led solutions. What makes Discovery Café unique is that their approach comes from a place of understanding, love and lived experience. The founder, Gabriel Cohen, is a man in recovery who has overcome the many barriers faced after incarceration, homelessness and addiction. He strives to give back to his community by sharing his experience and epitomizing a healthy life in recovery. The Rifle location is housed within the Colorado Mountain College in room 121
