The Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado is THE go-to resource for help and services for survivors of an injury to the brain, their families and providers. BIAC has a Re-entry Specialist who works with justice-involved individuals in Denver County. The Re-entry Specialist helps survivors understand their brain injury by identifying their symptoms and suggesting appropriate accommodations. In addition to resource navigation, BIAC has other programs that can aid clients in skill-building, peer mentorship, mental health therapy, and more. These programs are free and available statewide to Colorado clients. BIAC's Mental Health Counseling Program accepts Medicaid and Medicare because many survivors are insured under these plans. Valor on the Fax, a Permanent Supportive Housing Program, is the housing program offered by BIAC. They can provide housing to individuals with justice involvement as long as they have no prior conviction for methamphetamine manufacturing or are on the sex offender registry.
