The Affordable Connectivity Program is a federal program that subsidizes access to the internet for low-income individuals and families $30 a month. Eligibility is determined by your income of if someone in the household is on SNAP or Medicaid. $30/month subsidy for internet access.

Comcast's Internet Essentials is a high-speed, low-cost internet service for eligible low-income households at a cost of $9.95 per month. Wireless Wi-Fi is included. The program is open to anyone eligible for public help, from food stamps and Pell Grants to Medicaid.

Community Outreach Centers provide free phones and data plans. They also provide tablets for $20. Call or walk in to get signed up for a phone. To qualify, you only need to have an active EBT or Medicaid. You need to bring a valid Colorado state-issued ID to their office. Community Outreach Centers will soon be statewide in Denver, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Grand Junction, and Greeley.

The Denver Public Library has a community technology center that offers technology classes. The class schedule changes every month, so you will need to call, check the website, or drop by. If you are a beginner and know nothing about computers, ask about classes that will help you get started. You can receive help from the basics to coding. Other public libraries also provide technology centers.

Through the Rapid IT Training and Employment (RITEI) program, CCCS colleges will train up to 400 Coloradans via online platforms in a CompTIA A+ Certification or one of the five Google IT Professional Certificates for free. After short-term training (three to six months), program participants will get connected to an “earn while you learn” work-based learning opportunity and receive one-on-one career coaching. Individuals ages 17 and older who are currently under- or unemployed and live in the Denver metro area are eligible to apply regardless of previous education experience.
