Where to Get Information and Help

Colorado Crisis Services
Colorado Crisis Services at 844-493-8255 is a great place to call for information. They answer calls about depression, recovery, concerns about family or friends, substance abuse, grief, loss, suicidal thoughts, PTSD, drugs and alcohol, bullying, stress, anxiety, homelessness, disability and more. You don’t have to be in crisis to get help.

You’ll reach a real person who knows what you’re going through. They’ll keep your call confidential. You’ll get help finding resources. Answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. They also have a Peer Assistance Line answered from 9 am to 11 pm. You can also text TALK to 38255 to have a text conversation with a trained professional.

Crisis Service Centers
It can take up to six weeks to get an appointment with a mental health center, but Crisis Service Centers can help you right away. You can walk right into a Crisis Service Center. They don’t provide medication, but they will help you find someone who can help with your needs.

Centers are open 24/7 and located in Aurora, Boulder, Denver, Fort Collins, Lakewood, Littleton, and Westminster. Click on the button below for locations.

Mental Health Centers
Mental Health Centers, also called Community Health Agencies, can help you with your mental health. They provide counseling, case management, programs, resources and even pharmacies. You must call for a phone screening first. Not everyone gets an appointment right away—it can take up to six weeks. Some centers require you have Medicaid insurance, but some will help you with treatment, even if you can’t pay. Click on the button below for a list of mental health centers.
