Manage Time

One way to manage time is to write down the things you need to do. For example, you write down five things you need to do on a particular day. You’ll probably arrange that list in your mind so you know what you need to do first, second, third, and so on. You may even write #1, #2, #3 on the list. Check things off the list as you get them done. Writing things down keeps you from forgetting important things as well as the little things.

Another way to manage time is to use a pocket planner or small calendar. Carry it with you and write down appointments, addresses, and important phone numbers when they come up. Planners and calendars keep you organized and help you plan ahead. Electronic calendars on your phone and computer are another tool. Check out our video below.

Time Management Helps Develop New Habits
You may have no problem filling Monday through Friday with things you have to do, but weekends can be hard, especially if you’re trying to develop new habits. Use a list or calendar to plan out weekend days with things that helped your stress and that you enjoy. Go to the gym. Run a couple of miles. Go to the movies, even for two or three at a stretch. Plan to do these things by writing them down in your calendar.
